NCDs

Investors seek investment opportunities that balance liquidity and risk while providing attractive returns. Debentures are financial tools issued by a company for a specific period, offering a guaranteed interest payment to the investor. There are two types of debentures: convertible and non-convertible debentures (NCD). Non-convertible debentures (NCD) are debentures that cannot be converted into shares or equities. NCD interest rates are determined by the issuing company.

NCD investment is open to individuals, banking companies, primary dealers, and other corporate bodies registered or incorporated in India, as well as unincorporated bodies.

Bonds

Investment bonds are financial assets where the issuer is indebted to the bondholders. Depending on the bond type, the authorized issuer is required to make interest payments and/or return the principal upon maturity. Simply put, a bond is a legal contract to repay borrowed funds with interest at regular intervals. Investment bonds are a method for raising capital.

When you purchase a bond, whether it is a government bond, convertible bond, callable bond, or another type, you are essentially providing a loan to the issuer, which can be a corporation, government, federal agency, or other entity. Consequently, the issuer agrees to pay a fixed interest rate throughout the bond's term and to repay the principal amount of the bond at the term's end. This mechanism provides a predictable income stream for investors while enabling issuers to secure necessary funding.
